Los Angeles Lakers, 103 – Chicago Bulls, 121
A magnificent DeMar DeRozan, with 38 points and 6 assists, led the Chicago Bulls to a resounding and unappealable victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, that without LeBron James they continue to give very worrying signs of a team without direction. The Bulls stroked 30-point leads in a game in which DeRozan was joined by Lonzo Ball (27 points with 7 triples, 7 rebounds and 8 assists) and Zach LaVine (26 points with 6 triples, 5 rebounds and 5 assists).

The disaster for the Lakers (8-7) was complete as Anthony Davis (20 points and 6 rebounds) was sent off in the third quarter for double technique. Talen Horton-Tucker (28 points and 6 rebounds) and Russell Westbrook (25 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists) were the Lakers’ top scorers with a woeful 6 of 32 on triples. The Lakers had a relatively easy schedule in the first 15 games of the season, however, they closed with a poor 8-7.
Cleveland Cavaliers, 92 – Boston Celtics, 98
Those of Boston managed to snatch the victory from Ricky Rubio, who led his team with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists, and that he could not count on half of his starting five (losses due to injury of Sexton, Allen and Markkanen). The Celtics managed to secure the victory thanks to 6 straight points from Dennis Schroeder in the last minute of the game. The Cavs threatened a new comeback, but the Greens managed to quell Cleveland’s attacks.
The Celtics took great advantage of forward Jayson Tatum’s 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists, who together with Al Horford (17 points and 9 rebounds), secured the victory that places them with 50% of victories this season (balance of 7-7).
Detroit Pistons, 107 – Sacramento Kings 129

Buddy Hield and Tyrese Haliburton pulled the visiting car with 22 and 17 points respectively, which helped them to cut a streak of 4 consecutive defeats. For their part, those from Motor City sink even further into the East standings with the second worst record (3-10). Richaun Holmes scored 19 points and 8 rebounds to join Hield and Haliburton’s party and destroy a Pistons who had practically nothing to do from the first quarter, which ended with a 12-31 run.
The only thing that stood out for the Pistons was Cade Cunningham’s 25 points, seconded by Saddiq Bey with 28, but the rest of his teammates stayed below 10 points.
Atlanta Hawks, 129 – Orlando Magic, 111
Trae Young and John Collins scored 23 points each, seconded by 4 other players who surpassed twenty points to achieve victory against the worst team in the Eastern Conference, the Orlando Magic. In the Florida team, only Cole Anthony stood out with 29 points and 11 assists, but they were not enough to avoid the third consecutive loss and fall to the bottom of the table with a record of 3-11.
The Hawks, meanwhile, are twelfth in the same conference at 6-9. Of course, the joy has not been complete for Atlanta. The Hawks have announced that De’Andre Hunter will have to undergo surgery to be treated on a tendon in his right wrist, which will take him off the court for approximately two months.
Oklahoma City Thunder, 90 – Miami Heat, 103
The Miami Heat relied on Tyler Herro who scored 26 points for an away win and place fourth in the East with a balance of 9-5. For their part, the Thunder add one more defeat, the second in a row, and are left with a negative balance of 5-8 that keeps them eleventh in the West.
Besides Herro, the surprise in the whole of the bay was Kyle Lowry who got a double-double (11 points and 11 assists) from the bench; a bench, in which Bam Adebayo, Markieff Morris and Jimmy Butler are not present due to physical problems. In the Thunder, only Luguentz Dort stood out, author of 20 points, which were of no use when compared to the 20 turnovers that the whole of Oklahoma reaped.
Memphis Grizzlies, 136 – Houston Rockets, 102
Ja Morant led the Grizzlies to a resounding victory with 22 points and the sinking of the Houston Rockets in which Garuba played 9 minutes. The Rockets with this loss are consummated as the worst team in the league with only 1 victory in 14 games. Those from Memphis played as a team and proof of this were the 33 assists and 30 points they got on the counterattack. The Rockets, still without raising their heads and have already added twelve consecutive defeats. They are the worst team in the league in losses and the percentages in the shot are not accompanying them either. In fact, against the Grizzlies they have stayed at 11/38 in shots of three.

The only good news, if we ‘sweep home’, were Garuba’s 9 minutes in which he collected 5 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists, which contrasts with Santi Aldama who had 4 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. But the worst for Texans is yet to come. The Rockets have a road trip away from home in which they will visit the Thunder, Knicks and Celtics in the coming days.
Washington Wizards,105 – New Orleans Pelicans, 100
The Wizards continue to extend their good start to the season with one more victory against the Pelicans that places them leaders in the Eastern Conference with 10 wins and 3 losses. They are only behind the Warriors (11-2) on aggregate in the league and tied with the same balance as the runners-up Phoenix Suns. Spencer Dinwiddie scored 27 points to reap the fifth consecutive victory for the capital. In addition, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 18 points, Montrezl Harrell 15, Aaron Holiday 12 and Deni Avdija a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds that left the absence of Bradley Beal, who was low for personal reasons, into oblivion.
In this way, the Wizards have exhibited all their potential to overcome some Pelicans in which Brandon Ingram’s 31 points have not been awarded. Jonas Valanciunas has seconded him with 16, Devonte ‘Graham has added 14 and Josh Hart has finished with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. The Pacers were able to come back, but their effectiveness in the final minutes was nil and precipitated the defeat that leaves them with a balance of 6 wins and 9 losses.
Dallas Mavericks, 111 – Denver Nuggets, 101
The Mavericks won at home against the Denver Nuggets in a game that began with a basket exchange in the first quarter that went 35-32. From there, the Nuggets put dirt in the middle, but the Mavs closed the gap on the scoreboard and came back from the game to achieve the victories. Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic, got 29 points, three assists and 11 rebounds and 23 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds respectively, but the bad news was the former Madrid player’s left ankle that had to be treated by the team’s doctors.
Minnesota Timberwolves, 96 – Phoenix Suns, 99
Chris Paul led the NBA runners up to a triumph that was not decided until the final moments of the game. CP3, who had barely made a basket before the fourth round, dressed up as a star to lead Phoenix to its ninth consecutive win. Scored 19 of his 21 points of the night in the final 12 minutes and left the Minneapolis bleachers speechless. Deandre Ayton returned from his injury absence and scored 22 points, also grabbing 12 rebounds. The Suns’ victory, the second in less than 24 hours after the one achieved in Houston, allows them to continue climbing positions in the Western table.
Portland Trail Blazers, 118 – Toronto Raptors, 113
CJ McCollum scored 29 points, Damian Lillard 24 and the Trail Blazers beat the Raptors In which OG Anunoby stood out with 27 points and Pascal Siakam with 20. The final minutes were decisive and McCollum scored several triples to achieve the victory that places the Oregon team in ninth with a 7-8 record in the Western conference. For their part, the Canadians add another defeat and remain with the same balance but in the Eastern Conference.
