For the first time, the Departmental Archives of Yvelines are making a place for themselves during the Histoire de Lire fair. You can find them at Auguste Thiers salon of the Prefecture. In this space, you will discover the board game developed by the Archives: “Networks”. a Resistance board game. This presence will allow, beyond the discovery of the game, to raise awareness of historical memory and the importance of historical sources and testimonies. A justified and ultimately necessary presence.
A game that arouses interest

In September 2019, the public came in large numbers to attend the presentation of the board game by some of the creators and designers of “Networks”. Teachers, mediators or history buffs: they were all interested in the game, its rules, the possibility of playing it but especially by the project in general. Keep memory alive through a fun game : it was the idea of ”Place your bets” at the start. We had also followed the evening evening during which the creators had played for the first time on their finished game.
The players in “Networks” are resistance during the Second World War and consequently carry out actions of resistancee. By team, participants can then understand how the resistance fighters liberated France.
How to preserve and transmit our History today? This is a good question that everyone in the education sector is asking themselves: “Networks” is one of the solutions that could be provided. The game can be loaned to toy libraries as well as to colleges in order to draw real lessons from it.
