So far in the trial, the experts of the Prosecutor’s Office have already verified with respect to the loans that there is an excess of interest rate on the loans granted by father and son, taking into account that they charged up to 72%, which moved the sum of G. 6,539,895,697,879 through usury.
For the Prosecutor’s Office, there is no consistency between the income declared by the defendant before the SET and the deposits made in the bank accounts, so these were not declared.

In addition, it has been possible to identify that both owned 141 properties and 17 vehicles in their name, but from all the reports and records received from financial entities there is no evidence that they have been part of any society that proves that they have had legal income, according to with the Prosecutor’s Office.
“False report” as a new charge
At last Friday’s hearing, judges Claudia Criscioni, Yolanda Portillo and Yolanda Morel, who make up the Sentencing Court, warned that they observed that as a result of all the evidence that was presented in the oral trial, there are elements to consider that there was also usury and money laundering, also the crime of false reporting.
