Microsoft adds 70+ new Xbox 360 and Xbox Original games to backward compatibility feature

The backward compatibility feature on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One is a convenient way to play games from the Xbox 360 and Original Xbox era. To celebrate the console’s 20th anniversary, Microsoft has now added more than 70 new games to the feature. Below we list a small list and in the image at the bottom of this post you can view all added games.

  • The complete Max Payne– on F.E.A.Rfranchise is now playable on your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One.
  • With the addition of Skate 2 are now all Skateshare on your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One.
  • More than twenty Original Xbox games have been added, including Dead or Alive Ultimate on Star Wars: Jedi Knight II.
  • All added games support Auto HDR on Xbox Series X|S.
  • All Original Xbox games get an improved resolution:
    • 4x resolutieverbetering op Xbox Series X en Xbox One X.
    • 3x resolution enhancement on Xbox Series S.
    • 2x resolutieverbetering op Xbox One S en Xbox One.
  • Eleven titles get an FPS boost on Xbox Series X|S, including F.E.A.R on DENY.
  • 26 titles from the pre-existing catalog now also receive an FPS boost on Xbox Series X|S, including the full Gears of War-series and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
