In Afghanistan, the Taliban held a military parade in Kabul, showing captured military equipment. It is reported by BBC.
“The Taliban marched through the capital of the country, demonstrating military equipment that was captured after the withdrawal of US units or inherited from the previous government,” the statement said.
It is reported that Russian-made Mi-8/17 helicopters flew over Kabul. Most of the military equipment and weapons used to belong to the former army of Afghanistan.
It is clarified that several dozen US-made M1117 armored personnel carriers drove along the main street of Kabul. The parade participants were armed with American M4 rifles.
Taliban officials said military pilots and mechanics from the previous government would gradually be integrated into the new military.
