According to Dragan Stojkovic, head coach of the Serbian national team, Silva had previously broken the rules, but the referees were of the opposite opinion.
In the 33rd minute of the match, after the shot of Dušana Tadic, the ball awkwardly caught the ball by Rui Patrīsiu, directing it to the goal – 1: 1. The result was good for the Portuguese team, but in the last minute of the regular time after Tadic’s center, Mitrovich hit the ball close to the ground from a close distance, reaching the net – 2: 1 in favor of the Serbian national team.

In the elimination tournament, 12 teams will be divided into three “play-off” branches, where in March 2022 three more participants of the final tournament will be determined.
