The former Japanese princess and her husband took a commercial flight to New York from Tokyo-Haneda airport. At the departure terminal in Tokyo, the couple was escorted by police and airport security personnel.
They passed dozens of journalists who were present at the airport, but the couple did not answer any questions. The ex-princess and her husband are going to rent an apartment in New York, where Komuro works as a legal assistant at a law firm.
