According to recent reports, Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers wouldn’t be part of the plot, even for a simple cameo. So why did Marvel Studios decide to take him away from the race for a while yet? In the minds of fans, Chris Evans’ Captain America is gone for quite a while in the MCU, if not forever. However, the rumors of the corridors would like the actor to resume his role in the future, information however denied by Chris Evans. Nevertheless, it is relevant to wait a little bit if the actor were to come back, here is why.
First, even though Falcon and the Winter Soldier proved to fans why and how Sam Wilson really became the new Captain America, they are still getting used to the idea. If Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) returns in Captain America 4, even for a simple cameo, spectators will have a hard time accepting the handover between the two superheroes. As a bonus, it would risk putting all the spotlight on Steve Rogers at the expense of Sam Wilson. Marvel Studios is aware that the character’s return following the events in Endgame must be justified.
