Ubisoft has a problem with the sequel to the classic Beyond Good & Evil. According to gaming industry insider Tom Henderson, the game is in crisis as developers get stuck. This got even worse when Michael Ancel left the studio in September 2020. Henderson also tweets that even if the game is not officially closed, it is probably only a matter of time before the hammer falls.
For the time being, we may put all this under the category of reputation, but it is obvious that something is not quite right with the project. Beyond Good & Evil 2 was already announced in 2008 and apart from a teaser and a longer trailer at E3 2017, there has basically been silence about the game.
