1. Hear Voice Messages Before Sending
Many users demand that voice messages be reviewed before sending them. This year WhatsApp has fulfilled people’s wishes. Now the sender can hear the voice message before sending it. So you can redo or delete it first. This method can also be used for Android and iOS users.
The method is quite easy. First of all, open WhatsApp, then open the chat box of the person you want to send a voice message to, hold the microphone and record the voice message. Then press the home button, then go back to the chat contact and click the Play button to listen to the voice message.
2. Disappearing Messages
With this feature, users can send messages that will automatically disappear after some time. You can activate it by opening the contact you want to contact and then clicking on the name at the top then press Disappearing Messages and select ‘on’.
For the record, this feature will remove all messages once enabled. However, the images sent will be saved directly to the sending and receiving devices automatically.
3. Custom Notifications
You can set the notification sound for each WhatsApp contact as you like. This can be done on both Android and iOS devices.
To use it, Android users can press Menu and select View Contact and proceed to Custom Notifications. Next check the contact section and complete the setup. While you iPhone users can press the cognac name and select Custom Tone.
4. Export Chat
Users can also save chats by using this feature. On Android, the trick is to press the menu button and select More and enter the Export Chat menu.
On iPhone, tap on the contact name and then scroll down the screen. After finding Contact Info, select Export Chat.
5. Message Details
WhatsApp also provides a message detail feature. Where you can see the status of the message you sent whether it has been read or not.
On iPhone, to view message details by swiping left over the sent message. For Android, you can see it by pressing the message and the next menu button Info appears.
6. Starred Messages
This feature can be used to mark important messages. So you can search for it quickly without needing to look for it in a pile of messages in WhatsApp. How to activate it by pressing the chat you want to tag and press the star icon.
