Dresden volleyball players fulfill their task against Straubing

The volleyball women of the Dresdner SC lived up to their role as favorites against NawaRo Straubing and prevailed with 3: 0 (25:16, 25:17, 25:16). The German champions celebrated their fourth victory on the seventh match day.

The Dresden women started the game very concentrated in front of 913 spectators in their home hall on Saturday, hit hard, were able to attack variably from a stable assumption and also the block and field defense was safe. In the middle of the first set and also at the beginning of the second section, the penultimate from Straubing held against it with fighting spirit and was able to work out a lead in the meantime.
But overall, the team of coach Alexander Waibl, who gave almost all players a chance to play, proved to be superior in all respects. After 75 minutes Kristina Kicka transformed the third match point, and the young Julia Wesser was chosen as the most valuable player on the DSC side.
