Driver’s licenses will change in Ukraine: when to expect innovations

In the driver’s license, as told in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a special code will appear, indicating the passing of a practical exam in a car with an automatic transmission.

A mark about an automatic transmission will appear in the driver’s licenses of Ukrainians. By data The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the corresponding change in the document should appear from December 28, 2021.

In the message of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is said that the mark on passing the practical exam on a car with an automatic transmission will look like form 78.

This suggests that drivers with such rights will only be able to drive a vehicle with an automatic transmission. If there is no such mark, the driver has the right to drive a car with both automatic and manual transmissions.

However, the innovation will not affect those drivers who have previously received a driver’s license.

Earlier it was reported that in Ukraine introduce a new training system future drivers in driving schools. The process of reforming training in driving schools will be launched from April 2022.

Since November 5, Ukrainians will be able to get a driver’s license at post offices or order the delivery of such documents to your home. The corresponding service will be provided by Ukrposhta and the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
