Nursing boss railed against “Wetten, dass …?” – now the ZDF – Kino & TV expresses itself

On Saturday evening, ZDF celebrated a great success with the re-edition of “Wetten, dass …?”. Around 14 million viewers saw the anniversary broadcast on the show’s 40th birthday. But there was also criticism of the hygiene concept.

At Anne Will’s ARD talk on Sunday evening, the President of the German Care Council, Christine Vogler, said: “If I said ‘Wetten, dass ..?’ have looked. For real! I couldn’t look at it! “

Nobody reacted to Vogler’s criticism in the panel discussion

However, none of the other talk guests responded to Vogler’s criticism – including the Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder, who is in favor of a nationwide 2G regulation. The Nursing Council chief Vogler emphasized in the Anne Will discussion group that the German Nursing Council was “for 2G in all events that don’t have to be” – so also a TV show.

The 3G + rule applied in the Nuremberg exhibition hall. This means that only people who have been vaccinated, recovered or tested negative for PCR were allowed access.

ZDF confirmed this at the request of FOCUS Online and announced: “The audience and the entire team were either vaccinated, recovered or had an up-to-date PCR test. Evidence was checked upon admission. “

Twitter users criticize the hygiene concept

A number of Twitter users were also bothered by the show’s hygiene concept. One user wrote: “Doesn’t Corona exist in the studio? No distance, kisses left and right the audience is busy singing when they see Lauterbach. ”Another drew a comparison with the strict hygiene rules in schools:“ I would like to know how parents who #between their children last night #Bettendass have looked, explain to their children that they have to wear masks again in school on Monday! “

SPD health expert Karl Lauterbach is one of the proponents of the 2G rule. The member of the Bundestag recently tweeted: “The earlier 2G is introduced, the smaller the wave will be. The controlled introduction of 2G works much earlier and stronger than the booster vaccination. Because 2G protects the unvaccinated. “

Virologist Hendrik Streeck, on the other hand, has concerns that 2G initially sounds like a good regulation. But he thinks it is “dangerous”. The reason is, among other things, the reduced willingness of unvaccinated people to test.

Criticism of the hygiene concept in “Wetten, dass …?” – ZDF is now reacting

It has been discussed for weeks whether the 3G model should be tightened to a 2G model. The first federal states have already introduced the 2G rule in view of increasing incidences or are planning to introduce it.

However, ZDF defended its decision in favor of the 3G + concept for the revival edition of “Wetten, dass …?”. In response to a FOCUS online request, the ZDF wrote: “The ZDF has adhered to the legal regulations and the requirements of the 14th Bavarian Infection Protection Ordinance.”
