According to the aid teams, the number of dead migrants found on both sides of the border has risen to 11 since the summer.
“The body of a young Syrian man was found yesterday in a forest near the village of Volka Tereshovskaya,” police said. “The cause of death could not be determined at the scene.”
Meanwhile, the Polish Border Guard said on Saturday that Belarusian soldiers near the Polish village of Cheremha had begun to destroy the temporary border at the border and tried to dazzle Polish security forces with lasers.
A group of about 100 migrants was waiting nearby, and Belarusian security guards had distributed tear gas to use against Poles.
After the arrival of Polish police and soldiers, people on the Belarusian side fled the forest.
