Expeditie Robinson has many plot twists this year. In the first weeks it seemed almost impossible to be voted home. Not only did another expedition take place in the deepest secrecy with former candidates, there was also an Afvallerseiland. “I would also be in it, but I couldn’t,” reveals Kees van der Spek in Robbert Rodenburg’s YouTube series – which can currently be seen in the popular program.
“I just don’t have the time,” explains Kees. “I have to make a broadcast every 3.5 weeks, I really barely have time. I would have liked to, but maybe next time when the weather is on a tropical island.”

From Scammers Tackledmaker participated in 2015 Expedition, but flew out after one day. “It’s a trauma, really a trauma,” he laughs. “It was so shit.” In Kees’ season, Kamp Noord and Kamp Zuid camped on one island. “So it was kind of us and them,” the crime reporter explains. “We went to sleep and the next day we immediately had a test. But you have to imagine what that is like… we were going to do that test and lose that test, so there was an island council. They had that as a ‘catch’ that others were allowed to vote, how bad. So those guys I didn’t know well were allowed to vote.”
“They just looked: who is the biggest, and they voted out. It was seven votes for Ronnie Flex and eight for me, in one day. (…) I was so excited.”
