The presenter Josué Carrión, known as “Mr. Cash ”is waiting for TeleOnce management to inform him of the premiere date to start his television space.
The premiere may be as early as December or early 2022. The animator is fine-tuning the final pre-production stage of the program that will be broadcast from Monday to Friday on TeleOnce, but according to what he said, if “I receive the ok, I start right now ”.
This medium learned that TeleOnce’s management is considering putting the new program on a schedule after noon, so it would be competing with the “Día a Día” slots on Telemundo and “Viva la noche” on Wapa Televisión.
Since last August, when he signed his contract with TeleOnce, Carrión has been working hard on the proposal that he wishes to present to the families. The formula of your program is well known to you. Games, challenges, entertainment and money to give away, a combination that has been infallible in his television proposals. The new space will have its proven recipe, added to “interviews and presentations of important cases that require special attention for the audience.”
“We are going to bring the healthy home entertainment that sets us apart. Much joy to the Puerto Rican households that we so much need in the midst of all the problems that Puerto Rico has experienced… the pandemic, the earthquakes, hurricanes. It is time to unite families and that joy is transmitted through the small screen. In addition, we are going to have several surprises. Of course we are going to distribute money. We have the TeleOnce family that has good resources and Liberman Group has not spared for it to be a high-profile production, ”said the presenter in a meeting he had with El Nuevo Día in Old San Juan.
Returning to local television during his five-year absence from the media and the country was something he always pondered. Carrión’s last appearance on national television was with the Mega TV space “Sales de Oro” in 2016. That same year, the also businessman who lived in opulence, requested the protection of the Bankruptcy Court under Chapter 11 for debts of several pawnshops “Oro Centro”.
Carrión ran out of cash and his finances were greatly affected. He lost countless businesses he had and the “Oro Centro” businesses that still operate on the island are owned by his family.
“In what I can collaborate I will always be there, because for that we are family. But they are theirs, “he said.
“Mr. Cash ”moved to Florida almost five years ago, looking for new horizons and venturing into other real estate and jewelry businesses. He assured that during this time he was calm with those businesses, but television called him and more so for someone who knew the medium at the age of 12 when he participated in the segment “Operation chocolate” of “Super Sábados” on Telemundo.
Of course, now he specified that he comes with a host of lessons after multiple blows, which “had to happen” to show himself with greater maturity and evolution.
Mr. Cash affirmed that thanks to his approach to the Christian faith he was able to straighten his life and not get into bigger problems. In the past, he even had to face justice, after being accused of trying to carry a loaded firearm on a commercial airline flight. In 2014, he was found not guilty by a federal jury.
“It is a tremendous blessing that he has been through all those things. Those things made me stronger. If I hadn’t gone through that process, maybe I would be thinking about other things and entertaining and all that made me locate myself and be a better person today. I had to go through that desert to be what I am today, and the things that are going to come in the future that are going to be blessings ”, said the entertainer who for now is going to keep traveling between Puerto Rico and Florida, but once the new program started, he would stay longer on the island.
“God is preparing a way, that is the one that God has in purpose in my life, it is the one that I will do. Meanwhile what corresponds to me is to fulfill my responsibilities of the things that I am passionate about and to do good so that in the future I can be willing to receive what God has for me ”, he added.
Carrión acknowledged that contrary to when he was in the programs “El tiempo es oro” on Wapa TV and on “Sales de oro” on Mega TV, he did not have a direct competition as the “Puerto Rico Gana” program on Telemundo seems to be now, whose format is very similar to what “Mr. Cash ”. In fact, the animator in 2019 criticized the television space that Álex DJ encourages for understanding that it was a copy.
However, he retracted his words and validated the good existing competition that encourages greater productions on local television.
“I don’t like to use the word competition, but competition is always good and allows workshops for so many people… technicians, models, cameramen, producers, presenters. It is a family that supports itself. It is good that there are many local productions not only on TeleOnce, but on other channels ”, he pointed out.
For now, Carrión focuses on each of the details of the production of the new TeleOnce program because his desire is “to please and entertain the audience.”
