Soldiers from allies Belarus and Russia held a joint exercise in western Belarus, where thousands of migrants from the Middle East are trapped in the border area. They are a plaything of the regime of Belarusian leader Aleksandr Lukashenko, who has laid out the carpet for migrants in retaliation for European sanctions.

Belarus would even actively collect migrants in the Middle East to push them across the border with Poland and the EU in its own country.

Poland is trying to keep the migrants away with a fence, police officers, border guards and at least 15,000 soldiers. On the other hand, they are forcibly returned by the Belarusian army.
The exercise by Russia and Belarus was near such a large migrant camp, according to Polish media. Belarus said the joint exercise was necessary because of increased “military activity” on the Polish side of the border.
