If you’re paying for an Xbox Game Pass and playing on a PC, you’re sure the Xbox app isn’t doing well. And it’s not just about speed or clarity, the biggest stumbling block has become the installation folders that the user can’t choose. The system selects them and the folders are then locked, so you can’t put anything in them and there is no way around it. The players had to say goodbye to the fashions or the installation of fan translations. But that will finally change.
Everything was started by journalist Tom Warren from the magazine The Verge, who announced that Microsoft is preparing a major update to the Xbox for PC application, which will bring several major changes. A few hours later, we also received official confirmation in the form of a video.
The update will bring the option to select the installation folder and we can allegedly expect a higher download speed. The biggest novelty is the access to the selected folder. If the game supports modes, you can install them on it. Of course, the same goes for unofficial Czech. In addition, a new tab for xCloud games will be added.
You can already try the functions in the Xbox Insider program, but when it arrives for regular users, we don’t know yet.
