In the comments, you often ask if Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition contains all the cheats you know from the original versions. The answer is finally provided by producer Rich Rosado.
Producer of the Rich Rosado newspaper USA Today he said that some cheats had to be deleted for technical reasons, although he did not specify or reveal which specific cheats in remasters do not work.
Remasters GTA 3, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas were in charge studio Grove Street Games and used Unreal Engine in development. This technology is probably one of the reasons why some of the cheats don’t work. Players meanwhile report that one of the broken cheats is the one for invisible cars in GTA 3.
Unfortunately, we did not learn from the producer if any cheats were added. So we will have to wait for the players to check everything and find out what and how.

Instead of these details, Rosado revealed something else. The developers used some assets from Grand Theft Auto 5. According to Rosado, as part of the process of improving San Andreas, Vice City and GTA 3, the team borrowed assets such as trees and refrigerators, from GTA 5.
Using already created assets for GTA 5 was more efficient than creating new ones. However, recycled assets do not stand out in the games, they have been modified to match the visual palette of the individual parts of the trilogy.
“It was done in such a way that if I didn’t tell you it was a GTA 5 fridge, you might not even notice it, because it just blends in with the background.” the producer added, adding that GTA 5 assets allowed them to make the remaster environment denser.
