JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) suspects that the Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Nurdin Halid, is desperate for the 2024 presidential election.

Because in the fight against the 2024 presidential election, the party led by General Chair Airlangga Hartarto actually intends to hijack PDIP cadres.

This was stated by the Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto in his statement to KompasTV, Friday (12/11/2021).

“What was offered by one of the Golkar elites, namely Bung Nurdin Halid, perhaps illustrates the despair after repeatedly persuading Ganjar Pranowo, but Bung Ganjar is not interested,” said Hasto Kristiyanto.

“And every time he is asked about the issue of presidential and vice presidential candidates, Bung Ganjar prefers to work for the people to deal with the pandemic.”

Hasto emphasized that for the PDI-P, leadership was born out of a systematic regeneration process.

“Not by hijacking other party cadres as a pragmatic way of power,” he said.

Hasto further added that Ganjar Pranowo, who now serves as Governor of Central Java, is a cadre born from the party’s regeneration process.

In addition, continued Hasto, Ganjar Pranowo in his track record is also directly involved in the activities of the Party Badiklat. Thus, Hasto believes Ganjar will obey the party’s AD/ART.
