NEW YORK – A 27-year-old woman is fighting for her life in a New York hospital after being shot in the neck.
The bloody event occurred around 8:17 pm Thursday near a NYCHA complex at 364 Madison St. in Lower Manhattan.
The victim was taken to Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.
Some media reported that the woman is pregnant, but this information was immediately confirmed by the authorities.
No arrests were reported at the time or cause of the shooting.
