The current coach and former Barcelona star Xavi Hernández has chosen his top 4 of players who are no longer active.

Víctor Valdés is in goal, for him the best goalkeeper in the history of Barcelona. As a defense, he puts Carles Puyol, who he also considers the best defender ever at the club and, possibly, in history. It chooses Andrés Iniesta as an easy choice for midfield and puts Samuel Eto`o in the most advanced position, as he cannot elect Messi as he is still playing.
