But despite the advantage, the lead goal was delayed until when there were two minutes left of the first period. Because then Erik Gustafsson got the puck and pulled away a shot that meant 1-0.
In the middle period, the match exploded and the goals rattled in. Västervik went to the break with a 3-1 lead after a late reduction signed by Tyler Vesel.
