Do you know how to use fog lights correctly?
Be careful on the roads this weekend with the announced fog! As a reminder, the use of the front fog lights is reserved for cases of thick fog, very heavy rain or snowfall consequences. Contrary to popular belief, they are not used in the rain on a clear day, as they may dazzle other drivers. After dark, front fog lights are allowed on unlit, narrow and winding lanes, such as country roads, when the weather turns bad. They are then activated in addition to the dipped beam headlamps or the main beam headlamps. If you are about to pass another vehicle, if you start to overtake, or if you are driving in built-up areas, your front fog lights must be turned off.
At the rear, the fog lights should not be used at all times, so as not to risk dazzling other drivers. They are only used in fog or heavy snowfall. It is forbidden to light them in the rain, or in the event of visibility greater than 200 meters.
