Former German coach, Joachin Low, was honored at the start of this Thursday’s match between Germany and Liechtenstein (9-0), counting for the ninth round of Group J in the European qualifying zone for the World Cup-2022.
The 61-year-old coach climbed onto the turf at the Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg to receive the German national team’s honor a few months after he left his post.
Hans-Dieter Flick, former Bayern coach with whom he won the Champions League, and former assistant to Low, is now Germany’s commander.
In 16 years at the service of team, Joachin Low won the 2014 World Cup and the 2017 Confederations Cup.
