After speculations about his possible disappearance and abduction, the member of the BESA party in the parliament of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Kastriot Rexhepi, posted a video message on his Facebook page, in which he assured that he was fine, MIA reported. One version was that he was abducted in Bulgaria.

“I want to thank you for your support. The security and stability of the country and the well-being of the people must be essential for all. Party President Bilal Kassimi and others should not worry about me. I am in a safe place and on the right side. “with the Albanians, with all the citizens of the country who want peace, freedom and democracy,” Rexhepi said.

He pointed out that the EU and NATO are his choice, not an anti-Albanian campaign, BTA reports.

“I say this with a clear conscience and I will explain everything to the media as soon as threats from certain people stop. I have always promoted freedom of expression, freedom of decision-making, which is a characteristic of a democratic society. God bless Macedonians and everyone living in the Republic Northern Macedonia, “Rexhepi said in the video.

The member of the Besa party, who confirmed that he would vote no confidence in the government of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Northern Macedonia Zoran Zaev, Kastriot Rexhepi did not come to the parliament today, which broke the quorum, Macedonian media reported earlier today.

VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristian Mickoski said they would wait until midnight for Rexhepi to appear or call, as he saw no reason to hide or be absent from parliament. Mickoski said he suspected Rexhepi was being held somewhere forcibly because Besa leader Bilal Kasami told police he had disappeared. Mickoski even called on President Stevo Pendarovski and the Interior Ministry to say Rexhepi’s whereabouts.
