The Handheld Steam Deck was first introduced this July. At that time, Valve showed us what all the devices can do and what models they are up to. Reservations were also launched shortly afterwards, with the first batch selling out very quickly. Steam Decks were supposed to reach their owners at the end of this year, but unfortunately this will not happen.
Valve made an official post on Steam announcedthat release postponed to February 2022. The reason is quite obvious – logistics and lack of material. The problems facing virtually any company today that wants to bring some hardware to market today.
In February, however, it will only affect customers who are in line and have already reached them in the first batch. Steam Deck should not be freely available until the second half of next year, when the ongoing crisis is generally expected to improve.
If you are interested in the device, you can book it here.
