Which companies meet the requirements?
- Physical or mobile companies that have 5 or fewer employees (1 is the owner).
- The business must provide goods / services for multiple clients / clients and must be located in Jersey City.
- Family income of business owners cannot exceed 80% of the City Area Median Income Limit or the employee’s salary cannot exceed $ 54,950.
- Homeowners applying for this assistance program must be US citizens or legal US residents.
- The requirement also applies to your employees.
- Some examples of micro-businesses include supermarkets, pharmacies, child care facilities, medical supplies, food delivery, food trucks, laundries, beauty salons, home health support services, and quarantine.

Aid is awarded for business expenses that qualify between October 1, 2020 and August 31, 2021.
Am I eligible for this assistance program if I received financial assistance from other COVID19 programs?
Your business is not eligible if you have already received assistance for the same expenses incurred during / for the same period you are considering applying for.
What types of expenses are eligible to receive the funds?
Such activities could include assistance with salaries, supplies and materials, personal protective equipment (PPE), childcare, transportation assistance.
NOTE: You need to document that expenditures support activities to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the pandemic.
What is the maximum amount of aid that can be received?
The maximum grant amount is up to $ 50,000 for eligible expenses incurred between October 1, 2020 and August 31, 2021
