Thom Haye prefers a longer stay with NAC Breda above a transfer to the bottom of the Eredivisie in January. However, the 26-year-old midfielder is in the waiting room because of the sales process, BN DeStem reports.
According to the regional newspaper Haye not only wants to finish the season in the Rat Verlegh Stadium, he also surprised general manager Mattijs Manders with the message that he wants to extend his contract until mid-2023. The appreciation he feels from the NAC fans weighs heavily on the mainstay, who in the last five Kitchen Champion Division-duels zes assists gaf.
Manders told Haye two weeks ago that the club will break open his contract, but the player has been waiting for an offer since then. NAC is keeping a tight rein now that it has been put up for sale. For that reason, test player Welat Cagro has not yet signed a contract, although he has convinced the technical staff.
