The British billionaire Richard Branson (71), known as the founder of the Virgin companies, blogger that he has been the victim of “a violent bicycle accident (again!)”.
Branson explains that he was cycling at high speed when the brakes stopped working. The 71-year-old flew off the bike and feared he had broken his back.
Luckily it was not that bad; The billionaire escaped the crash with fellow rider Felix Stellmaszek with deep cuts and scratch marks on his elbow, and “an unusually large bullet” on his left hip, in addition to a large accumulation of fluid in his leg.
– But it could have been so much worse, Branson blogs.
The accident took place in the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean, where the aging billionaire participated Strive BVI, a charity race where participants compete in a number of different disciplines. The funds raised go to an organization founded by Branson’s children Holly and Sam.
