A 24-year-old Manhattan woman died four days after being seriously injured when a truck crashed into her scooter and ran her over, New York City Police said Wednesday.
Molly Pearson shot out of her scooter in the collision near Meeker and Skillman Avenues in Brooklyn shortly before 11:30 a.m. on November 2. She fell onto the road and was hit by the truck, authorities said. Officers who responded to a 9-1-1 call found Pearson with severe trauma to his lower extremities.
She was taken to a hospital for treatment but died of her injuries on Saturday, police said. The operator of the truck remained at the scene after the accident.
No arrests have been made. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
