NASA postpones Moon landing deadline to 2025

NASA is postponing the Artemis space program. The United States will be able to make the first manned landing on the moon, probably no earlier than 2025.

These changes will result in the Artemis II mission, which is the first manned mission, to potentially have May 2024 as its launch date.

NASA chief Bill Nelson blamed the timing shift on the lawsuit over the agency’s lander to be built by SpaceX and the delay with the Orion capsule. It should take astronauts into lunar orbit.

The Artemila-2 program was approved by President Donald Trump.
