Börse Express – New York Stocks: Inconsistent and without large jumps

NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – The US stock market continued to move at a high level in early trading on Tuesday without a uniform direction. Price data from the USA caused little reaction.

Der Dow Jones fell by 0.21 percent to 36 353.97 points. The day before, the leading index had reached another record high. The market-wide S&P 500 increased by 0.05 percent to 4703.89 points. The tech-heavy Nasdaq 100
gained 0.29 percent on 16,383.55 points.

In the USA, producer prices remain at a high level. In October they rose by 8.6 percent compared to the same month last year. Analysts had expected that. Since the start of the calculations in 2010, there has been no higher increase./ajx/he
