Earlier this year, Ford announced that the Mondeo would stop production for European markets later this year after the popular model had been on the market for nearly 30 years. However, the Mondeo will continue to be sold in Asian markets, and in 2022 the new generation of the model will be presented there.
And while we’re waiting for Ford to officially unveil the new model, several patent photos have already been released by Chinese government agencies as part of the legalization of every new car there.
The new Mondeo differs significantly from the European version, which we can often spot on the streets, as impressed by the grille with an interesting texture, as well as divided into two lights, which have recently become more modern.
The taillights are reminiscent of those of the Mustang with three elements in them. Above the Mondeo inscription we find the LED aperture that connects the two stops. Depending on the performance, both bumpers get black elements and a slightly sportier design in the front and rear.
Retractable door handles and a two-tone concept with a black ceiling make an impression on the sides. A 2.0-liter petrol engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission is expected to run under the hood.
