First dates returns for a third season on November 23. From this year on, there will also be a youth version for which 1,300 sixteen to eighteen-year-olds registered.

Tuesday, date day. At least on One where it First datesrestaurant will reopen its doors in fourteen days. The crew that surrounds the love seekers with the best care, again consists of host Patrick, bartender Bram and waitresses Leena and Katelen. However, they will be reinforced by Ferdy, the half-Moroccan, half-Persian Limburger who previously came on a date himself. It shouldn’t matter that he didn’t love his date with Giuseppe in season two. Ferdy continues to believe in love unconditionally.
So do the 1,300 or so teens who signed up for the teens version of First dates. In seven episodes, young people between sixteen and eighteen will sit at the table. Two episodes will be broadcast on Een on 20 and 21 December, the other five will be broadcast on VRT NU. According to the makers, the fact that there will be a teen edition has everything to do with pure necessity. In digital times, live dating for young people is not obvious, especially in these corona times. That is why many of the candidates do not so much hope to find a lover right away. Most are more curious about the experience of dating in a real restaurant. It is undeniable that service also plays a role in this. For the youthful cupids, Patrick will not be the maître of service, but Leena will. Until the arrival of Ferdy, she was the youngest descendant in the First dates-team. She is also close to the world of the young daters and in real life she has a business where she is a hostess.

About 6,000 candidates registered for the regular version of First Dates this season. The choice fell on 220 daters, a group that is as colorful as it is varied. From the youngest dater Witse, who is 18, to Julien, who is already 79 years old and almost blind. From Laura, who as Iris and with the song Would you before our country once took part in the Eurovision Song Contest, until Aaron, a well-followed influencer on TikTok.
