A 15-year-old girl was injured in a stabbing at a metro station on Kerklaan in Capelle aan den IJssel on Monday afternoon. Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy and are still looking for the second suspect. The victim is doing well under the circumstances and has been transported to the hospital.

The stabbing happened around 4:45 p.m. According to the police, bystanders saw the two boys and the girl stab each other with knives. When the police arrived at the metro station moments later, the boys had already fled. The girl was injured but manageable. A few hours later, the police managed to arrest one of the suspects, a 17-year-old boy from Spijkenisse, at his home. The second suspect is still being sought.
What exactly preceded the stabbing is still being investigated, but the police take into account that there was an argument between the young people.
