According to G4Media sources, PNL voted, on Monday evening, in the National Political Bureau, in favor of starting negotiations with PSD, for the formation of a new coalition government.
According to G4Media, the vote ratio was as follows: 48 Liberals voted to start negotiations with PSD, and 22 voted against.
Among the liberals who voted against an alliance with PSD are: the president of PNL Bucharest, Ciprian Ciucu, the president of Oradea County Council and leader of PNL Bihor, Ilie Bolojan, the Mayor of Oradea, Florin Birta, the PNL leader Giurgiu, Dan Motreanu, the head of PNL Teleorman , Eugen Pârvulescu, but also Monica Anisie, Ludovic Orban, Antonel Tănase or Raluca Turcan.
There was no abstention.
One of the PSD leaders, Vasile Dîncu, also had an intervention on Digi24.ro on Monday evening, confirming that his party’s decision is to start negotiations with PNL, in order to form a coalition government.
We remind you that UDMR also transmitted, also on Monday, that the decision was taken – within the Hungarian party – to start negotiations in order to form a PNL-PSD-UDMR coalition government.
If the three parties reach an agreement on the governance program and the division of mandates, it is estimated that a variant of government will be structured at the beginning of December.
Meanwhile, if there is a consensus on a parliamentary majority, the parties can be convened by President Klaus Iohannis, in order to appoint the new prime minister, most likely in the person of General Nicolae Ciuca (PNL), who is also agreed by PSD representatives. The plan of the party leaders is for a full-fledged government to be invested before the winter holidays.
