The Mitsubishi New Xpander and New Xpander Cross were officially released today (8/11/2021) virtually. These two models will be strong competitors for the All New Toyota Avanza and Veloz which will be introduced two days later, precisely on November 10, 2021. So what is the comparison of the specifications of the New Xpander and All New Avanza?
The Mitsubishi New Xpander comes with a new, sportier face. In general, it still shows the typical Dynamic Shield design language, but there are changes such as in the front bumper, T-Shape design on the headlights and taillights, as well as 17-inch two tone wheels with new motifs.
The excellent features in this car include KOS (Keyless Operation System) and Start Stop Button, Cruise Control, including the Electric Parking Brake with Brake Auto Hold feature which will be available in the Ultimate and Sport CVT types.

The Mitsubishi New Xpander is still loyal to the 1.5L MIVEC DOHC 16 Valve engine with Euro4 specifications, which produces a peak power output of 105 PS at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 141 Nm at 4,000 rpm.
Interestingly, the New Xpander is now equipped with a new New CVT (Continuously Variable Timing) transmission option. Previously, the Xpander used an ordinary automatic transmission model that relied on the torque converter mechanism.
Not only the CVT transmission, the New Xpander is also claimed to get a new suspension. The claim is that there is an increase in the quality of the suspension and shock absorber, with the latest tuning, resulting in more comfortable handling and stability on rough roads.

Regarding safety and security features, this car uses a RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body structure which is claimed to be sturdy and specially designed according to the standards of all Mitsubishi vehicles to provide the best safety in driving.
In addition there are dual SRS Airbags, Seatbelt with 3 point ELR and ISO-FIX child seating fixing bar, New Speed Sensitive Automatic Door Lock, New Electric Parking Brake with Brake Auto Hold, ASC, ABS-EBD with BA, ESS, Hill Start Assist (ASC, BA and HSA, from GLS to Ultimate CVT variants).
Okay, shift to the Mitsubishi New Xpander Cross, this model does not get significant changes in the front and rear areas like the New Xpander. On the New Xpander Cross, the design is more or less similar to the previous model, only the grille color is now black metallic.

Continue for safety and security features, more or less the same as the features in the previous model. But in this New Xpander Cross, Mitsubishi also embeds advanced safety features, such as New Speed Sensitive Automatic Door Lock and New Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with Brake Auto Hold.
Especially for the New Xpander Cross, the Premium Package type, gets a seat material made from New Synthetic Leather Seat with the addition of the Heat Guard Function feature, which can reflect heat so that the vehicle remains comfortable after being parked in an open area.
