New York (AFP) – Exhibiting his explosive career, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson led the win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday’s game of the American football league (NFL), which experienced stumbling blocks from division leaders such as the Cowboys and the Bills.
In the Ravens’ 34-31 overtime win over the Vikings, Jackson added the 12th game of his career with more than 100 rushing yards, a record among NFL quarterbacks.
Jackson has achieved this feat in his fourth season in the league while Michael Vick, who so far held the best record with 11 games, played 13 seasons.
“I don’t know what to say, but it’s great,” Jackson, 24, said of his record.
On Sunday, the quarterback rushed for 120 yards and passed for another 266 and three touchdowns, with two interceptions.
The Ravens, who have a record of 6 wins and 2 losses, lead the North division of the American Conference.
Love debuts for Rodgers
The Buffalo Bills, leaders of the AL East division, and the Dallas Cowboys, first in the NL East division, suffered losses due to serious blackouts in their offenses.
Teddy Bridgewater threw for a touchdown and ran for another to lead the visiting Denver Broncos to a 30-16 victory over the Cowboys.
Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott completed 19 of 39 passes for 232 yards with two touchdowns and an interception on his return from a game out due to calf injury.
“It’s something we’ll learn from,” Prescott said. “We have to start faster and play a cleaner game.”
The Bills, meanwhile, fell 9-6 to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who sealed the victory with three field goals from Matthew Wright.
In Kansas City, the Chiefs, current NFL runners-up, took advantage of Aaron Rodgers’ loss due to his covid-19 infection to defeat the Green Bay Packers 13-7.
For the Packers, who suffered their second loss of the season, Jordan Love enjoyed his first start to replace Rodgers and completed 19 of 34 passes for 190 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
