On social media, there are several who react to the fact that Scott, who himself performed during the concert, did not stop the music earlier.
Houston police have opened a criminal investigation after the incident on Friday. On Saturday night, police in Houston announced that they had opened a criminal investigation after unconfirmed reports that someone in the audience “injected drugs into people”, according to Reuters.
One of the messages the police have received is from a security guard who felt a tingling in his neck when he tried to help someone. Shortly afterwards, he lost consciousness. Medical personnel found needle marks on the guard’s shoulder.
Police have not concluded that such episodes may have had a contributing cause to people dying, but police chief Troy Finner told Reuters that “one should get to the bottom of this”.
