The medical oncology service of the CHVR takes care of adult patients suffering from cancerous diseases in collaboration with the other services and associations concerned (see links). It is made up of doctors specializing in the management of cancerous diseases, specialized nursing staff, research nurses, psycho-oncological support, a reception team and a secretariat.
The services provided are:
- specialized outpatient medical consultations in Sion, Martigny and Sierre
- multidisciplinary consultation meetings in the fields of gynecology, senology, general surgery, thoracic surgery, ENT, urology, neurology and radiation oncology in Sion
- inpatient hospital treatment in Sion
- outpatient treatment of intravenous or oral chemotherapy, transfusion and infusion of antibodies and other therapies in Sion, Martigny and Sierre

Making appointments:
- it is essential to make an appointment and be referred by a doctor. Requests for new consultations should be made to the centralized number of the Sion outpatient service.
- during your first consultation in the service, we ask you to take all your medical and x-ray documents as well as all your medications.
For people staying temporarily in Valais, the Service can provide checks and treatments at the request of your attending physician.
