DJI Mavic 3 Drone Specifications and Prices

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Advanced drones DJI Mavic 3 officially released on Thursday (4/11). This drone, which is aimed at high-end consumers, is priced starting at US$2200 or around Rp. 31.5 million.

The Mavic 3 solidifies DJI as the premier choice in the aerial photography industry.

The Mavic 3 will be available in two models, the standard Mavic 3 and the Mavic 3 Cine. Mavic 3 Cine will be supported with Apple ProRES 422 recording feature and 1TB SSD memory on board which provides better data transfer speeds.

In addition to 1TB SSD support, the Mavic 3 Cine is also equipped with a 1Gbps high-speed data cable called the DJI 1/GBps Lightspeed Data Cable that works with a USB-C port.

While the Mavic 3 has a microSD as data storage space and a USB-C port for data transfer. The memory that can be used is a microSD SDXC or UHD-I card with a data capacity of up to 2TB.

Another difference between the two devices is the controller included in the package.

The DJI Mavic 3 or DJI Mavic 3 Fly More package includes the DJI RC-N1 Remote Controller without access to OcuSync 3.0. This feature is a feature provided on the DJI Mavic 3 Cine and is paired with its new controller.

However, both models will still be equipped with 4/3 CMOS which was designed in collaboration with Hasselblad. Both drones are also equipped with a telephoto camera that provides 28x hybrid zoom capability.

The 20MP wide-angle main camera has a 4/3 CMOS sensor, with a 24mm primary lens, 84-degree FOV, 24mm format (35mm equivalent), and f/2.8-f/11 aperture. The focus range for this camera starts at just one meter.

The second camera is a 12MP telephoto camera that works with a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor with a 15-degree FOV, 160mm format (35mm equivalent), and an aperture of f/4.4, with a focus range starting at three meters.

Reported from Gizmodo, both devices can shoot 5.1K video at up to 50 fps, or 4K video at up to 120 fps, while still supporting all DJI feature modes such as MasterShots, 100-MP Panorama mode, and QuickTransfer for releasing footage over Wi-Fi 6.

Then with the ‘Hasselblad Natural Color Solution’, DJI claims the colors in the images produced by the Mavic are deeper and more accurate than ever before.

SlashGear Note that this drone comes with Obstacle Avoidance, HyperLapse video capture, ActiveTrack, QuickShot, Pi-assist enhancements, and panoramic capture.

This drone will also add several features that will be released along with a later software update.

The Mavic 3 has a flight duration (without wind interference) of up to 46 minutes, and a maximum flight duration (without wind interference) of 40 minutes.

This duration has increased by 10 minutes compared to the maximum flight and hover duration of the Mavic 2 Pro.

The Mavic 3 drone can ascend at a speed of 6 meters per second in P mode and 8 meters per second in S mode, while when descending this drone can fly at a speed of 6 meters per second in P mode.

Near sea level without wind interference, this drone can fly at a maximum speed of 21 meters per second in S mode.

Additionally, with DJI’s upgraded O3+ transmission system, the Mavic 3 is now said to be able to provide a range of up to 15 kilometers, which is double the 8 kilometers range of the Mavic 2.

Furthermore, to ensure the Mavic 3 returns home safely after flying, DJI developed the Advanced RTH protocol that allows the drone to fly back to the user directly and saves flying power.

Even DJI says the Mavic 3 can read wind conditions in the flying area to calculate the most efficient return route.

This latest DJI drone will be released in three packages, namely the DJI Mavic 3, DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo, and DJI Mavic 3 Cine Combo.

The price of the standard Mavic 3 drone will be priced at US $ 2200 or around Rp. 31.5 million, the Mavic 3 Fly More is priced at US $ 3000 or around Rp. 43 million, and the Mavic 3 Cine Combo is priced at US $ 5000 or around Rp. 43 million.
