One person was killed in a serious traffic accident in Hasselt on Saturday morning.
Around 3 o’clock something went wrong at the intersection of the Herkenrodesingel (Grote Ring) with the Kuringersteenweg (N2). A passenger car swerved at the exit. After the crash, the car caught fire. The Hasselt fire station of the South-West Limburg emergency zone extinguished the burning vehicle. The local police Limburg Region Capital made the findings. The intersection was closed for a while. This was confirmed by the Limburg public prosecutor’s office.
