After several weeks of teasing, Xiaomi has finally unveiled the three models of its Redmi Note 11 Series in China: the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro +. And as expected, the Chinese manufacturer has not skimped on the means to make these new smartphones, real troublemakers. While waiting for their confirmation on the European market, let’s discover together these models which are illustrated in particular by their very competitive prices for very attractive characteristics.
The classic Redmi Note 11: an attractive entry level
The standard model of the Redmi Note 11 reveals quite clearly Xiaomi’s strategy for this new series: to break the market!
It is indeed a rather attractive smartphone, with a 6.6-inch Full HD + LCD display, with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under this slab, we find a Dimensity 810 chip compatible with 5G and WiFi 5 which is coupled with 4, 6 or 8 Go RAM. Depending on the version, 128 or 256 GB of internal storage are offered.
On the photo side, a dual sensor (50 + 8 megapixels) is present at the rear, while a unique 16 megapixels ensures the taking of the selfies through the punch of the screen. Finally, with regard to autonomy, a 5000 mAh battery compatible with fast charge at 33 W ensures the blow.
Available in three colors, the classic Redmi Note 11 is offered from around 160 € in China for its 4/128 GB version. An aggressive price therefore for this fairly well endowed smartphone.
Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro +: two sophisticated models quite similar
Both positioned in the mid-range, the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro + have very attractive characteristics, but also very close to each other.
The two devices notably share:
- The same screen: one 6.67 inch AMOLED which displays in Full HD+ and is refreshed in 120 Hz ;
- The same chip: a Dimensity 920 by MediaTek. 5G and WiFi 6 compatible, she is supported by 6 or 8 Go RAM ;
- The same stockage interne : 128 Go ou 256 Go ;
- The same triple rear photo module, with a 108 megapixel wide-angle sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. At the front, the 16-megapixel front sensor is also identical.
Also note that these two smartphones run under Android 11, with MIUI 12.5 in overlay. They are otherwise, both IP53 certified (dust and splashes).
The main difference between them is in the battery. Indeed, the Redmi Note 11 Pro embeds a 5160 mAh battery which charges in 43 minutes thanks to a 67 W block. For its part, the Redmi Note 11 Pro + opts for a more modest battery (4500 mAh), but which supports the fast charge at 120 W ! So she can pass from 0 to 100% in just 15 minutes if one relies on the manufacturer’s announcement.
With such characteristics, the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro + send heavy weight to their segment, especially since in China, they are offered at very competitive prices:
-
- Around 215 € for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 6/128 GB ;
- Around € 255 for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 6/128 GB.
It remains to be seen whether the Chinese manufacturer will offer the exact same formula on the European market.
