ABBA releases a new album after a break of 40 years
Stockholm, Nov. 5, LETA – AFP. Swedish band ABBA on Friday released the album “Voyage”, which is the band’s first new album in 40 years.
The album “Voyage” contains ten new songs, which were recorded in 2018. It was announced at the time, but the release of the songs was postponed indefinitely.
The ABBA concert show, also called “Voyage”, is scheduled to start in London in May and is currently under construction. The one-and-a-half-hour show, which will feature 22 songs, will feature only digital versions of ABBA members, but will also feature a group of ten.
ABBA’s first album “Ring Ring” was released in 1973, but the band gained world fame in 1974 after winning the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Waterloo”. So far, the last ABBA album “The Visitors” was released in 1981, but in 1982 the band disbanded.
ABBA records have sold 400 million copies. Among the band’s most popular hits are “Fernando”, “Dancing Queen”, “SOS”, “Mamma Mia”, “Money, Money, Money”, “Chiquitita” and “The Winner Takes It All”.
In 2000, ABBA members rejected a $ 1 billion offer to go on a 100-concert world tour.
CelebrityNetWorth estimates that the personal wealth of each member of the group is $ 200 to $ 300 million.
ABBA members include 76-year-old Bjern Ulveuss, 74-year-old Benny Anderson, 75-year-old Annifrid Lingstad and 71-year-old Agnet Feltskūga.
