Pfizer: its antiviral treatment would be 89% effective

(AOF) – Pfizer announced Thursday evening that its experimental antiviral treatment against Covid-19 was more effective than that of its competitor Merck. According to the interim results of the phase 2/3 study, the treatment would reduce the risk of hospitalization or death by 89% in people at risk of developing severe forms of the disease. Merck’s success rate is said to be 50%.
