Catherine Deneuve suffered a stroke on November 5, 2019 while on the set of his upcoming movie, While alive, directed by Emmanuelle Bercot. The actress, who just turned 78, had been urgently admitted to a Parisian hospital and the shooting had been suspended. The news had, inevitably, moved the world of cinema and fans of the actress, world famous and icon of the 7th art. The family of the actress of the Umbrellas of Cherbourg had quickly communicated on her state of health, specifying that she had been the victim of an ischemic vascular accident, “very limited and therefore reversible”. The agent of Catherine Deneuve specified, moreover, that the actress suffered “no motor deficit and must of course take rest”. A relative had told the Parisian that the accident had “not affected the brain” and that “his arms and legs are moving.” Catherine Deneuve then reassured her fans by appearing again on the front of the stage, at the fashion show or at the Cannes Film Festival last summer.
Catherine Deneuve continues its media comeback this week by making the cover of the new issue of Elle magazine, on newsstands this Friday, November 5.
