No one can predict a person’s life journey, just like the story of this homeless person. Who would have thought that the man who was once homeless and homeless, now has a successful career that has bought him more than 100 houses.
As quoted from the Daily Star, the man named Nick Mocuta initially chose to move and started his career in the United States with only around Rp. 7 million given by his grandmother. Due to limited money, the man from Romania had slept for years on a park bench because he had no place to live. His life was very difficult and he only relied on cheap food to fill his stomach.
Not only that, when he decided to move to the United States, Nick Mocuta, who was 21 years old at that time, was not fluent in English. But he has a dream and a strong belief to be able to live a successful life.
“The first taxi I took into town cost me around IDR 1.4 million and that left me with only around IDR 5.7 million for myself – that was the thing that took me by surprise, I will never forget that,” explained Nick to Jam Press.
It was so difficult, Nick would even ask the fast food attendant he used to buy to reduce the cheese on his burger so he didn’t have to pay extra. Luckily after a few months Nick managed to get a job. Despite the low salary, Nick was able to save and rent a small apartment from this job.
Not satisfied until there, thanks to his hard work Nick then managed to get a real estate broker license. In 2013, Nick then decided to start a new venture that would unexpectedly change his life.
The 37-year-old man sells items such as cellphones and cell phone cases imported from China via eBay. After 6 months of running the business, Nick managed to earn around IDR 52.5 million per month.
After feeling that his business was more profitable, Nick quit his job as a broker and focused on his e-commerce business. Unexpectedly 9 years later Nick managed to become a citizen of the United States who owns several online stores and earns around Rp. 575 billion.
“I think the reason I’m successful is because I’m never afraid to lose, just because I don’t try. I’m very persistent and never give up. I failed seven times, I got up eight times,” explained Nick.
Now Nick has about 100 residences in the United States and Romania and 4 luxury cars. His life has changed drastically.
