DHF cases start to spike, Lamsel residents are urged to live clean

Head of the UPT Puskesmas Branti Raya, Rosa Resnida, Batar District, South Lampung, said that 10 new cases were recorded as being sick with dengue fever.

“In anticipation of a spike in cases, we have fogged all villages in our working area since yesterday, our community urges us to clean the environment, do not have used goods, let alone have the potential for mosquitoes to breed,” said Rosa.

UPT Puskesmas Karanganyar, Bahren Nortojulu, said that there were 13 new cases reported, anticipating by fogging in areas where there was a spike in new cases.

“We have been fogging according to residents’ requests, we are always alert if there are reports about anything, including this DHF,” he said.

Head of UPTD PRI Sragi Subdistrict, Muhammad Ali, said that entering the rainy season at this time the community must make early prevention efforts, in order to suppress the spread of dengue disease. Prevention can be done by improving environmental hygiene.
