He said that on November 10, with Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, he will hold a meeting of the US-Ukraine Strategic Partnership Commission in Washington, where they will sign a new Strategic Partnership Charter.
Kuleba noted that the commission will resume its work after several years of interruption and will become a driver for the development of partnership between Ukraine and the United States. The new charter of strategic partnership meets the common challenges that Ukraine and the United States now face, strengthens the transatlantic unity, the minister said.
“Washington’s readiness for a qualitatively new stage of strategic partnership indicates that Ukraine enjoys confidence and is one of the key US allies in the region,” the minister stressed.
Commission agenda
During the meeting, they will discuss the defense of Ukraine and countering Russian aggression, the economy, energy, investment, cyber security, the fight against climate change, and support for internal transformations in Ukraine.
“2021 has become a new starting point for relations between Ukraine and the United States. We have left behind the period of turbulence and are conducting planned, systematic work to strengthen the strategic partnership,” he said.
